Matthew Snyder, LCSW

“I began my career in counseling to reduce the suffering that all people experience at some point in their lives. Through my clinical practice, my own lived experience with a mental health disorder, and studying the human experience, I have learned psychological suffering can come from the resistance to the inevitable pain life brings us. To take it one step further, I understood that our psychological pain could point us to the things we value, not distract us. I hope that I can assist you in changing your relationship with your psychological pain and open up to your experience to live a more valued life. “

Matthew graduated with his LMSW from Arizona State University in 2017. Since then he has held numerous clinical positions as a therapist for people diagnosed with serious mental illness and substance use disorders in correctional and outpatient appointments and has been a clinical manager for one of the largest Federally Qualified Health Centers in Arizona. After receiving his LCSW he moved to private practice as a therapist and clinical supervisor where began focusing on treating anxiety disorders, OCD, PTSD depression, and general mental health issues.
